Clark prepares for MusicFest as lineup takes shape

Music lovers around the county are preparing for the 13th Annual Musicfest, scheduled for September 8 through 12 at Oak Ridge Park in Clark.
The festival brings together a wide variety of attractions and vendors. It begins with the County Fair at MusicFest on September 8, including a carnival featuring 20 different rides and other attractions and continues through September 12.

Four schools among ‘most challenging’

Cranford, Clark, Springfield and Summit high schools have been named in Newsweek Magazine’s “Most Challenging High Schools in the United States.”
Only 67 schools in New Jersey out of a total of 1,623, or 6 percent of the nation’s schools, actually met Newsweek’s unusual criteria that is not based on the usual test scores but how hard school staff work to challenge students with Advanced Placement college level courses and tests.
